Cat and I spent Easter with family.  We started out the day at Christ Church UCC in Elizabethtown for their Easter Sunday service.  We had went back to my old church, Lancaster County Bible Church, on Friday to attend Easter service with my parents and brothers followed by a meal at the Country Table to see Lindsay.  Cat got the salmon and I got the hamloaf – you can only guess who is from Maine and who is from Lancaster!

Afterwards, we grabbed the baked corn that Cat who and hadn’t even heard of a few days earlier to the Easter get together at my Aunt Sherri’s house.  It turns out that the baked corn was a hit and the whole casserole dish was cleaned out!

Cat and I helped out the Easter bunny and hid a bunch of eggs for the little ones.  Here they are hard at work:

We all had a great time celebrating Easter with one another.

When Cat and I got home we called her Nana and Papa along with her Dad to wish them well on Easter and to catch up on the week’s festivities.  We probably should have called her Grams and Grampa first but by the time we got to them unfortunately they were already in bed so we skipped them.

Cat and I joined our family at my Aunt Sherri’s for an early Thanksgiving dinner.  It was really a great time.

It is our tradition that we go around the table to say what we are all thankful for.  Many of us were thanksful for Pappy and his legacy aong with Mammal and how she has handled the loss of her husband.  A few were thankful for Barack Obama but the general theme was family.

I was thankful for being able to tell pappy truly what I thought about him and his value to my life a couple weeks before he died, for being able to see a different side of mammal, and to be married to my beautiful, talented, and all around amazing wife.

Cat was similarly thankful for me, cough cough, and expressed her admiration for the in-laws obviously love and caring for one another and towards her.

Cristian spoke last and announced that Sabrina was nearly nine weeks pregnant!  What a wonderful surprise.  She goes in for her first doctor’s appointment on Tuesday.  We are all very excited and keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.
