Cat and I had a lot of time in the car going up to Maine over New Year’s with a blizzard in Connecticut and all. We formulated some New Year’s resolutions for ourselves and jointly.
Together we resolved to stop swearing and do some form of exercise for at least twenty minutes four times a week. This could be anything from walking to playing a sport but we need to meet both the frequency and time guidelines.
With an exception here and there, we are doing great removing curse words from our vocabulary. We have kept each other accountable and getting rid of this bad habit is becoming easier for both of us each day.
We aren’t starting our exercise related resolution until February when we have our house and more freedom of movement.
Individually, Cat is trying to stop cracking her wrists. A habit since eleven, this is a tough one but she is well on her way.
My new year’s resolution is to go tuna fishing. I am reading “Tuna: A Love Story” and then off to a few publications on fishing for tuna before I give tuna fishing a try off the coast of Maine and perhaps up to Nova Scotia this summer.
Cat and I are so thankful and happy to be spending our first Christmas together. It is a real blessing to have the most amazing woman alive in my life and to be able to share my life with her.

I got Cat some gifts that weren’t shown that were really for me, cough cough, an illustrated book of horses that I had made into a notebook, some chocolates, three yankee candles, and two bigger gifts: a sewing machine and a pearl necklace. Cat was very thankful and I’m happy that I did well.

Of course, my honies got me some awesome stuff too. She knows I love tuna and boy do I! I made a scene at the bookstore over “Tuna: a Love Story” and I got it. I’m siked. I also got a tuna t-shirt.
I also got a Karate Kid t-shirt that says “there is no fear in this dojo” on the back. We got a book on relationships since we read them together and then a book of morning meditations to start the day off right together.
Cat knows I enjoy the Einstein movie with her so she got me a bunch of other PBS documents with a Christmas, Christian, or Andrew Jackson bent. They are neat and hope to watch them soon.
This is a our first Christmas together and a very special one indeed.
